Happy holidays! I dug out all of our Christmas decorations last weekend and transformed our apartment into a winter wonderland. As I write this, Cosmo is sitting beside me on the couch and regarding our small Christmas tree with polite puzzlement as instrumental holiday music plays from behind the backdrop of a crackling fireplace YouTube video on our TV. It is 77 degrees out, but I can pretend.
This is what I wore to the opening night of A Christmas Carol at South Coast Repertory, an annual stage show that has grown into an Orange County institution since the production began over 30 years ago. This is Alex’s fourth year playing Young Ebenezer Scrooge (or as I like to call him, Hot Scrooge), and I try to see the show at least once a year. #SupportiveWife
It was the day after Thanksgiving so the weather was still warm, but I brought a light blazer for the air-conditioned theatre. There is a tradition of the audience members wearing red scarves when going to see this production, which I have done in the past, but I opted for a red tank instead.
I love the look of these shoes, but I try not to wear them to any event that involves a lot of standing or walking. The pointed toe can get uncomfortable after a couple hours, but these were perfect for that night since I spent most of the time sitting.
