Attention fashion retailers: If you are looking for a way to take my hard earned money, you need only stock items in the color Cognac. I will buy everything you have in this color. Will also settle for shades of Camel, Amber, and Copper. Don’t delay! My money will not be around for long!
For real though, this color has an effect on me. If I went to prison one day* and the jumpsuits were a rich shade of buttery Cognac, I would be thrilled.
*Sometimes I write stuff just to make my mother cringe.
I have been looking for a suede jacket in this color for so long and I would settle for nothing less than perfection. It had to fit my tiny baby shoulders (not easy), the color needed to be rich, and the styling had to be simple. No extra buckles, buttons, or pockets.
After what felt like years of wandering the desert of ill-fitting, over-the-top jackets, I finally snagged this beauty at the Nordstrom semi-annual sale and breathed a sigh of relief when we were finally united. We had been searching for each other for so long.
Even though I wanted a jacket in this material, suede always makes a little nervous because it is a fragile fabric and easily stained. If you never see this jacket again in a future outfit post, that means I ruined it beyond repair and I would rather you not bring it up if we see each other in person because I will be grieving. I will let YOU know when I am ready to talk about it.
These booties are kinda crazy and understandably polarizing. You either love ’em or you hate ’em. I happen to love them and wear them every chance I get.
