2018 needs to chill the f out.
The post-holiday transition back to normal life has been much less gentle than I had anticipated. In the last three weeks, we have traveled to Las Vegas for a wedding, redesigned our bedroom, and endured a brief but harrowing period of illness for poor Cosmo (he is feeling much better now).
This past weekend we made a conscious effort to slow down a bit and be lazy. Alex and I have been remodeling (can you even call it a remodel in a rental?) our bedroom to maximize storage space. It has been a fun, collaborative side project and I am looking forward to sharing it on the blog when everything is finished. The last 48 hours have been a blur of furniture building, The Office episodes, ramen delivery, and early bedtimes. It has been lovely.

They were playing John Mellencamp’s Cherry Bomb in a bar we went to on Friday night, and I am pretty sure that is what inspired this outfit I wore on Saturday morning. I was still feeling those strong Americana vibes. Side note: I wish I could write Americana without feeling like I have to say not the mall in Glendale.
